Dangerous Exile

by

This historical drama features a host of British stars, including Belinda Lee, Keith Michell, Anne Heywood and Finlay Currie to name just a few, but its main star is Louis Jourdan who would really hit stardom the following year in his next film, ‘Gigi’. There’s also a 13 year old Richard O’Sullivan who would become a big name on TV with series like ‘Doctor in Charge’ and ‘Man About The House’ in the 1970s. This was one of the films included in our first contract with Rank Film Distributors. Other titles were ‘The Chiltern Hundreds’, ‘We Dive at Dawn’, ‘The History of Mr. Polly’ and ‘Countess Dracula’. Rank were insistent (as were most distributors of the time), that all six should have a minimum of 10% edited from them for their release on super 8. An early label from Marianne Frost and printed inhouse by myself.

Label courtesy of Peter Brooke at ‘SPROCKETS’ .
