This colourful souvenir brochure introduces us to one of my own very favourite Disney features, even more enjoyable than Mary Poppins in my humble opinion. Angela Lansbury plays apprentice witch Miss Eglantine Price, who finds herself looking after three children evacuees during WW2, all who go in search for a missing component to a magic spell. The opening credits set the tone for the movie and the climax where she flies over the magically reanimated medieval armour to see off German invaders made the hairs on the back of my neck bristle with excitement!! Walt Disney Home Movies released two one reel extracts ‘Beautiful Briny’ and ‘Match of the Century’. I would dearly loved to have seen this as a full length Super 8 feature release, but although it was often mentioned during our talks with Disney UK it never came to be.
