Nice 36 page souvenir brochure and our feature label open this weeks entry. This 1969 musical comedy receives a meager 7 rating on the IMDb. Barbra Streisand is wonderful as the effervescent Dolly Levi who travels to Yonkers to find a partner for “half-a-millionaire” Horace Vandergelder, convincing his niece, his niece’s intended, and his two clerks to travel to New York City along the way. Some real show stopping numbers and likable appearances from Michael Crawford and Walter Matthau as the grumpy Horace Vandergelder.
