A two page advert from a Kine Weekly gives us a broad idea of the nature of this 1953 Italian production, originally called ‘Spartaco’. Pete Walker released the film on his Heritage label and and the 400′ must have fooled a number of collectors into thinking that this was the Kirk Douglas 1960 production.
