A page article from the January 1964 issue of Showtime and a re-release piece from 1984 found in an ABC Film Review. Released in 1963 this was Walt Disney’s eighteenth full length animated feature. Based on an Arthurian legend, Disney showed it had the capability of making a film without a princess. This was Walt’s last animation he was able to see before his death. Walt Disney Home Movies released two extracts ‘Duel of the Wizards’ and ‘A Most Befuddling Thing’, both sold extremely well and it would be a long while before Derann released it as a full feature in 1993, making it Derann’s fifth Disney feature release.
