A page from an unknown issue: I originally saw this early Hammer Science Fiction thriller on a double bill along with William Castle’s 1958 thriller ‘Macabre’ at a local “flea pit” in the mid 60s. The sequence in the lift stayed with me for weeks! We picked up the 8mm rights along with ‘The Quatermass Xperiment’ and ‘Quatermas II’ from a gentleman we met while on a visit to Pinewood Studios. Wish I could recall his name… Derek knew him and they had done business previously, he had much on offer but these three were all we picked up! It was released as a 4×400′ feature.
