Cat in the Cage

This thriller was one of many, that formed part of a package of movies purchased following one of our visits to the American Film Market, in LA. It had been picked up solely because ‘busty’ Sybil Danning was one of the stars and although this was from 1978, she was now making it big due to her appearances in ‘Battle Beyond the Stars’, ‘Chained Heat’ and ‘Hercules’. This however was a confusing movie, in which a young man, released from a mental institution, returns home to his wealthy father and his sexy but wicked stepmother (Danning), the latter of whom may have murdered his mother and is scheming with the shady chauffeur, to do the same to his father. Oh, and he has a cat named Sampson! Not a great film… not a good film! But it sold on Danning’s reputation alone!! Nice label from Marianne Frost.
