Secombe

Many will recognise this regular advertiser in many popular magazines of the time. He offered a ready made range of titles and other products that his customers could use on their finished films. He would also produce bespoke material and Derann used him regularly, we would supply the wording and he would come back with the finished titling. ‘George Formby:  Ukulele Man’ was an early example. Others would include ‘Vampire Moth’, both ‘Movie Magazine’ Vol 1 & 2 and John was the one who produced the animated Derann ‘film frame’ logo all those years ago. I’ve also discovered from various Movie Maker ads that Derann and Secombe co-released a number of features on 8mm, in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
