CARRY ON TEACHER: 1959
In September 1958 a new British institution was born with the release of a series of comedy films. ‘Carry On Teacher’ was the third in the series, it featured Ted Ray in his only Carry On role, there’s also a young Richard O’Sullivan appearing as a pupil. Ted Ray’s name on the billing gets special placing, it was only the second of just three times this happened, the other films in question are Bob Monkhouse in ‘Carry On Sergeant’ and Phil Silvers in ‘Carry On… Follow That Camel’. No Super 8 release.
