A two page article from an August 1962 issue: This 1961 fantasy adventure receives a 6.7 rating on the IMDb, but deserves much better, This was the first film with stop motion from Ray Harryhausen I ever saw and I can still remember the thrill of those clashing waves that changed colour as the music score from Bernard Herrmann belted out over the titles. Classic in every way and released by Columbia Home Movies as very nice 400′. Box label courtesy of Super8DataBase.
