Another title we picked up while in the US and one of a fairy large package. Originally released as ‘The Treasure Seekers’, it was also known as ‘Jamaican Gold’, ‘Contraband’ and ‘On A Deadman’s Chest’ and any film with that number of titles spells only one thing, old hat banality! It was a low budget internationally funded piece that had a lot of star power… Rod Taylor and Stuart Whitman, as two old friends searching for treasure in the Carribean, There’s also Elke Sommer, Keenan Wynn and Jeremy Kemp. Lots of tepid action, but some great scenery. It sold fairly well, only because of the name cast. The label was again designed by Marianne Frost.
