This was a warm and generally amusing little musical from our Ivy Films deal. The prints, although only taken from a 16mm master, were very good and it was popular enough to have its own label. Designed by Marianne Frost it was printed by professional printers, not at Derann. I for one love the Marx Brothers, especially Groucho’s one liners and quick biting humour, so this was was what sold it to me! This has Groucho as an agent who persuades his only client to pose as both a French chanteuse and Brazilian bombshell at the same nightclub. When they fall out, this leads to the disappearance of one of Carmen’s alter egos, which arouses the suspicions by the nightclub owner…. and the Police.
