As with Edgar Kennedy, I wasn’t familiar with the his name, and he was far less popular with Derann customers that either Edgar Kennedy and Charlie Chase. Again Derek was able to use 16mm lavender prints as the master material resulting in very nice Super 8 prints. Our 1967 sales catalogue lists five titles. ‘Shocking Affair’, ‘Spooky Wooky’, ‘Wedtime Stories’, ‘China Town Chump’ and ‘Punchy Pancho’. Here are just two, again with only the title and a simple image different for each label, an idea used to save on time and money and suggested by our artist and label designer, Marianne Frost. Printed by myself inhouse.
