A four page article from the April 1969 issue: Love it or loath it, this 149 minute space epic was a groundbreaking experience and filled with trend setting FX that turned it into a science fiction spectacular. Ken Films released a 8×400′, probably a slightly edited feature, in flat only. Ken released a number of other MGM features, here’s a list of the ones I can recall: ‘Singin’ In The Rain’, ‘An American in Paris’, ‘The Dirty Dozen’, ‘Casablanca’, ‘War Games’, ‘Ben Hur’, ‘That’s Entertainment’, ‘Von Ryan’s Express’ and ‘Seven Brides For Seven Brothers’. Although we took over many of Ken’s negatives, this wasn’t one of them. There were several trailers both flat and scope released from numerous distributors
