Key Largo

by

As far as I recall this title along with ‘New York, New York’ and ‘Trapeze’ were the only films from the UA deals that received a single 400′ release. Claire Trevor won an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, but this picture belongs to Edward G. Robinson as Rocco and Humphrey Bogart. It was beautifully edited by Keith Wilton and label was designed by Marianne Frost.

I guess with the nature of the plot, where most of the charecters are all holed up in one location would hasve made it hard to have 2 seperate story lines (as was stipulated on the early UA releases) from this particular film, but Keith Wilton has done a magnificent job with the editing, one of the best 400′ digests ever released by Derann (and in my opinion one of the best ever!)
