    Great days,beat video hands down
Only cost of family life cut back.my spending power.
Nowadays make do.with bluray and my video projector. Sorry colour and sound far superior, but I miss the sound of my projector running

  2. Sound superior,.. yes Anthony of course 👍
    Colour? Absolutely not.
Watched Pinocchio only a week ago again in all of its glorious lpp glory and splendour, and believe me, it was a sight to behold up on the big screen in our living room.

Yet another outstanding print from DFS of which we simply run dry of superlatives to credit them with.

    1. Derek agreed with your comments concerning the sound!!

Super 8mm twin tracked sound can never compete with digital “perfect” sound or image of today, but who cares?
This is analogue, this is tactile real film medium, which from purely an image perspective, on anything but the very largest of screen sizes, it would give most anything, including blu ray, I’ve seen in the last 35 years a run for it’s money from the visual aspect.
For a frame size of what Super 8mm film has, Derann took its possibilities to the absolute limit when you see films like Pinocchio.
They truly defy science in how good they appear on screen!
They really ought not to compete in 2025, yet they still do!
