A two page article from a February 1988 magazine: This 1987 Sci-Fi thriller receives an 7.0 rating on the IMDb. Directed by Paul Verhoeven and starring Peter Weller, Nancy Allen and Dan O’Herlihy. This was one of a number of Orion Pictures titles we were able to obtain from Rank Film Distributors. In a crime-ridden Detroit, a terminally wounded cop returns to the force as a powerful cyborg haunted by submerged memories. Released as a feature mounted on 4 x 600′ spools. No box art found on the internet.

This really was anexcellent prints colour was stunning and pinsharp I recorded mine into stereo using sync pulse one of derann greatest presume RoboCop 2 was just as good

  2. I have this and RoboCop 2. On my own prints I’d say RoboCop 2 has deeper colour than the first film without checking if both are Agfa as I’m certain my RoboCop print is.
The artwork for the box is the same stenciled artwork as shown above but has an orange background with black stenciled artwork and logos.
RoboCop 2 is similar but on a yellow background.
I have the original boxes for 3 of these prints as I’ve had 2 copies of the first film over the years.
Both are still very enjoyable but the first one is the classic 80s film. 👌
