The 7th Voyage Of Sinbad

by

A ½ page article from the September 1975 issue, for its re-release, plus a two page spread on Harryhausen from the same issue: This is a fabulous movie, one that never fails to entertain and the story for its release on 8mm is just as compelling! Around 1966 Columbia Home Movies released this as four seperate 200′ extracts, each focusing on a specific sequence… I purchased them myself. Fast forward to 1985 to when we picked up the rights from Columbia Pictures for 6 full length feature films, one of them was ‘Jason and the Argonauts’, which proved incredibly popular. Had the deal continued ‘The 7th Voyage of Sinbad’ would have been one of the titles on the second contract, but as you all know that contract never happened. A number of years later we were given the chance to import the title along with several other full length features, however this and another title, Hammer’s ‘Revenge of Frankenstein’ were well below our usual standard….. but beggars can’t be choosers. We never produced a full colour label and it would often have a quickly photostated illustation added or even sold in plain white boxes.
