A four page article from the October 1979 issue: This science fiction thriller really lives up to its reputation… even now I find the suspense and jump scares still work well and I’ve seen it more times than I care to admit. I first saw this at a cinema in New York’s Times Square in late July 1979, it wouldn’t open in the UK till September of that year. Ken Films issued a nice 400′ & 200′ and the 400′ was a brilliant seller. It would be the late 80s, perhaps even the early 90s, before we were able to release it as an unedited scope feature. It sold solidly and steadily and was still available when we closed the shop.
